Journeys with Autism Reports from Life on the Spectrum
  • Contact Me

My name is Rachel Cohen-Rottenberg, and I publish this blog, Journeys with Autism.

I am a wife, mother, writer, singer, artist, and community volunteer. In November of 2008, at the age of 50, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (AS), a form of autism. In January of 2009, I was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), mild dyspraxia with fine motor tasks, and moderate dyspraxia with gross motor tasks.

I started this blog to share my journey of learning about the autism spectrum, and to write about the joys, discoveries, and challenges of being an autistic woman. Along the way, I hope to dispel some of the many myths about autism in the larger culture.

Whether you are an autistic fellow traveller, the loved one of a person with an autism spectrum condition, or a neuro-typical person interested in learning more about life on the spectrum, I hope you will find my musings helpful. Feel free to post your comments, questions, insights, and experiences. You can also contact me at rachel@journeyswithautism.com.
